From September 24-26, 2025, the annual conference of the German Genetics Society (GfG) took place right here at Justus Liebig University Giessen, with this year’s meeting dedicated to "Epigenetics & Chromatin". Around 80 scientists from Germany and abroad came together for three days packed with talks, posters, discussions, and plenty of chromatin and epigenetics.

Naturally, the Braun Lab was well represented, with talks and poster presentations showcasing our latest work. Sigurd was also part of the organizing team, together with Sandra Hake, Alexander Brehm, Patrick Heun, and Fides Zenk — making this a particularly busy but enjoyable meeting on home turf.
