
The Braun Lab moved from LMU Munich to JLU Giessen, into the impressive, if slightly intimidating, Old Chemistry Building — a place everyone in Giessen seems to know, although perhaps for different reasons.
Moving in required a bit of preparation: first to go were the tiny, rather claustrophobic office cubicles, optimistically dubbed “think cells,” followed by some painting and refurbishment. But that’s all part of the building’s unique charm — after all, anyone can do shiny and new.
And eventually, the unpacking could begin...
