What a day! Very proud and truly happy as Karl wonderfully defended his PhD at LMU Munich. 🎓 Such a special moment for us all — celebrating a fantastic teammate and long-pillar of the lab. Great to have the team from JLU Giessen join us.

Following the #pombe2019 conference, we've had our lab retreat in Barcelona. Very productive: discussing & deciding on future methods, talking about valuable experiences from the past. Thanks to @MarcusBuschbeck for joining and sharing his career experiences with us. Great time!

The first ever BraunLab Hike!
We took on famous Herzogstand-Heimgarten ridge hike above the Walchensee, with beautiful views on the Wetterstein and Karwendel Alps one one side, and the view on the pre-Alpine lakes, including Starnberger See or Staffelsee, on the other.
It was a lot of fun, but also quite demanding tour: 8+ hours tour and 1,200 m of elevation gain — something you can be easily seen from our "before", "summit", and "after" snapshots!
